FAQ

Straight answers to the questions everyone asks. A meme coin, a land fund, a local memory — explained without hype.

What is $STEM?
$STEM is a meme coin on Polygon (10,000,000 fixed supply, ERC-20) that coordinates the Sanctum Elysium community around two goals: local AI memory that never leaves your machine, and the LAND Fund — real land, solar and farm assets. It is a coordination tool, not a company share.
Is $STEM an investment? Will I make money?
No. $STEM is a meme coin — not a security, not an investment, and not a promise of profit. Its value can go to zero. Buy it because you believe in the movement, never with money you can't afford to lose. Full details on the compliance page.
When does it launch, and where do I find the real contract address?
Launch is June 18, 2026 at 18:00 EDT. The one and only official contract address will be published on the Token page at launch and will be verifiable on PolygonScan. Any token with the same name but a different address is a fake.
How do I buy $STEM?
Four steps: install a Polygon-compatible wallet (like MetaMask), add a little POL for gas, swap on the official DEX pool linked from the Token page, then import the token to see your balance. The full walkthrough is in How to Buy $STEM. Set slippage to about 4% — the token has a 3% transaction fee.
What is the LAND Fund, and what do I actually receive?
The LAND Fund holds 50% of the supply (5M $STEM) plus 1.25% of every transaction; each month a variable share of its balance is converted to Bitcoin. At the 2029 redemption, the founder voluntarily transfers each holder their proportional BTC share for land — you buy your own parcel and hold the title yourself — while a purchasing co-op bulk-buys solar, batteries and equipment at negotiated volume prices. Details on LAND Fund and The Buyers' Table.
What is the Patience Score?
Your Patience Score is roughly tokens × days held, with a bonus for never selling. It weights your share of the monthly holder distribution and your voice in The Vote. You can track every wallet's score on the public Dashboard.
Can I sell whenever I want?
Yes — always. There is no freeze, no lock on your wallet, no penalty and no judgment. You forfeit patience only on the tokens you sell; the rest keeps its full history. Freedom to leave is a core principle of the project.
Where does the 3% transaction fee go?
Every buy, sell and transfer carries a 3% fee: 1.25% is redistributed to holders, 1.25% goes to the LAND Fund, 0.25% funds the project, and 0.25% goes to the founder. The fee is the engine that fills the LAND Fund without anyone having to donate anything.
Who decides what the LAND Fund buys?
Holders signal their preferences through The Vote: weighted by Patience Score and signed off-chain with EIP-712 — no gas, no transaction, and a signature that can never move or access your tokens. The result is an explicitly non-binding community signal, and each holder ultimately buys and owns their own assets.
What is the local AI memory? Do I need $STEM to use it?
It is the core technology of the project: an AI memory system that runs entirely on your machine — five agents, AES-256 encrypted, no cloud, no subscription. A ten-mechanism research blueprint extends the design: cryptographic forgetting, a local interrogation log, canary memories and more — all on your machine only; Sanctum Elysium operates no server holding your memory. It will be open-source and free for everyone; you never need to buy $STEM to use it. Read Memory and Build Status.
Does this site track me?
No. The site is fully self-hosted: no analytics services, no external fonts or CDNs, no cookies, no third-party requests. The only counter is an anonymous page-view tally on our own server. Privacy-first is the reason this project exists — see Why Local.

⚖️ $STEM is a meme coin for community and culture — not a security, not an investment, and not a promise of profit. Any value is incidental and can go to zero. Nothing here is financial advice.
